I started with the default, that clients could change their own settings.
And also in the beginning of the installation file (UrBackup Client 2.3.4.exe) comes this after the installation wizard that I can choose which drives and so on. In this moment the client does not know the server settings (e.g. that he is not allowed to change settings and makes his own).
Now I disabled the abilitiy to make their own settings with: Allow client-side changing of settings: (off)
and Allow client-side changing of the directories to backup: (off).
But it didnt work somehow. I reinstalled also with the UrBackup Client 2.3.4(x64).msi from the download page, but that was somehow weird. Didnt gave the settings option where I can choose if system drive and which kind of files and it made no real program in my program list when pressing the windows key in windows 10 1803 (is this already to old? it says only up to date windows version)
So I used the .exe.
I found that if I “cancel” this “what do you want do backup” after the install wizard I can make that the client has no settings.
Then I wait a while and the client and server are starting to communicate.
Is there a way without reinstalling and canceling the installation process to FORCE global settings and completely ignore client settings?
Otherwise I have to touch every client again. Maybe I understand something wrong.
But as far as I saw it the client settings won over the global settings, even if I disallow the change of client settings. Change does not mean no settings only that the settings before could not be changed anymore, right? Shouldnt it be: ignore client settings and force global server settings or specific client settings but from server side?

I see no issue. The client uses the server settings. You can double-check if "C:\Program Files\UrBackup\urbackup\data\settings.cfg" lists the same exclude_files line as the log, but the probability is low that it doesn’t.
