Trying to split SQL and WEB Data backups by using virtual sub-clients. No matter what I have tried I am unable to get the sub-client to backup any windows components. I have the permissions on the main client set to allow components, change settings, and set backup paths/folders. I have set default=1 in the main client and sub client with no avail. The only time I am able to get the windows components to backup is by using the main client. The sub clients do not seem to honor any settings for windows components no matter where they are set at.
Another scenario. I have several SQL databases on a single server. I need to set different backup intervals and retention for different databases. I created virtual sub-clients but I am unable to get any of the virtual sub-clients to backup sqlserverwriter windows components.
