I´m using Urbackup Server 2.0.17 beta on a Windows Server 2012 R2 and the UrBackup Client 2.0.17 beta on Windows 7
I have done a file backup and then i restored any files on the client.
If i want to open the restored files it didn´t work and i have to change the permissions to open it.
What can be the Problem?
If you browse to the files on the server do you see a last modified time?
If yes would you mind putting the client in debug log mode during restore and posting/sending me the debug log? (See this post how to do it: Having problems with UrBackup? Please read before posting )
I had to change my test environment. Now i´m using UrBackup Server 2.0.20 beta on a VM with Windows Server 2012 R2 and UrBackup Client on a VM with Windows 10 Enterprise.
I have the same problem, if i’m logged with local administrator i can open the file but if i’m logged with a local user i can’t open it.
If i browse the file on the server the last modifed time is the same time as i created it on the client.

It should restore the original permissions. Since it seems to backup the meta-data correctly there must be something wrong with the restore, but that looks ok as well. I’ll do some more tests.
