Hi all,

i’ve been using Urbackup 1.3 without problems on several installations for long time now, i’ll try version 1.4 beta2 with debian package and have these messages on a W2K8 R2 server (tried client 1.4beta2 and beta3)

Windows errorcode: 87. Access to root directory is gone too. Shadow copy was probably deleted while indexing.

This should occur if the shadow copy is deleted while a backup is in progress. 1.3. did not check for this during indexing and this could cause incomplete backups.

Can you confirm that the shadow copy is deleted by looking at the Windows system error log (volsnap service).

The cause is usually that there’s not enough space on the disk to keep the snapshot around (low on space + lots of writes).

Shortcut for the system event viewer is windows+R eventvwr.msc
