We want to backup the user’s desktop and documents folders and not the other folders. Can we use wild cards in the Default directories to backup setting? Can we use the following?
c:\users*\documents;c:\users*\desktop

c:\users:\documents;c:\users:\desktop
No, no wildcards in the default directories to backup. You need to backup C:\Users and then set the included directories to only include the documents, etc. See https://www.urbackup.org/faq.html#include_files for an example.
