I am running an UrBackup server installed on Linux. How do I replace the client version on the server side so that it starts distributing automatic upgrades to the clients?

if you are running the latest server version, it will push out the latest stable client version to the clients.
if you want to upgrade the clients to the latest version, check out Server updated, Clients are not Auto-updating to newest client version 2.5.27 where I was givin a work around to manually load in the latest clients to be pushed out by the server.
