I havean issue with all my Win10 Laptops using 2.4.10 and 2.4.12 clients.
Server is running 2.4.12 in a docker container.
The clients do not find the Server. The Wifi Adapter is set to private network (I have tried private and public in the windows settings)
As soon as I plug in a wired connection, the client immediatly start backing up.
I have disabled the windows firewall with the same results. Only a wired connection works.
But the clients do not see the server as soon as I am on wifi only.
The problem is not with Urbackup!
It seems to be my Aruba accespoint that is not letting the udp broadcasts through.
Now where do I change that …
My UniFi system has a " Auto-Optimize Network" feature that I needed off as it blocked broadcasts.
Determines and sets these options for optimum performance:
Block multicast and broadcast traffic for high density WiFi networks
Increase ARP timeout for high density WiFi networks
When enabled this overrides any manually set values.
The manually set values referred to are part of each wireless network definition under “Advanced Options”

The option that needed tweaking on the Aruba IAP:
Broadcast Filtering: ARP -> needed to be set to Disabled.
