What would prevent a client from being recognized by the server?

Is there a document somewhere outlining troubleshooting steps for getting a client on the same subnet as a server to be recognized by it?

Network is set to Private. I am stumped by what is keeping one of seven clients all configured very similarly from communicating with the server.

Sometimes a reboot of client and server will solve the problem and client will connect. I have had windows clients that for whatever reason the windows firewall will block urbackup. You can disable windows firewall on client as a test. I have had to enter the urbackup ports in the windows firewall on some clients before they will attach to the server. I don’t have the port numbers in front of me at the moment; post again if still having trouble and I will dig up the firewall rules I use.

I went to the Status page and hit the “+ Add new client” button. I then entered the client’s IP address into a field like above. That added it to the backup immediately. The problem appears to be solved now.
