What is the xcode version and environment to compile the mac client?

I used mac 10.12 and Xcode 8, cannot compile the client for old mac. Does anyone know the xcode version and environment for compiling mac client?

The pre-built installer doesn’t work? How old is the machine? In Xcode you can specify the target before compiling, set the target to the earliest version that still works.

I’m not sure if targeting PPC versions would work though, I don’t see a reason why it wouldn’t be able to create a Universal Binary.
