Using site : Virus Total scan download, encounter this msg

Hi

I guess so , it s only 1/67 antivirus who consider this an issue and baidu isn’t well known as an antivirus company.

Had the same problem with kaspersky Internet security (18.0.0.405g, virus data files 2018-03-04 09:51) today with the file UrBackup Server 2.2.8.exe…

Not really a solution !!!

If you don’t trust it, I’d suggest downloading the source code, checking it, then compiling it yourself.
It’s more than 200 000 lines of code. It has a few dependencies, I’d suggest checking them too. Shouldn’t be more than a million lines of code combined :wink:

If you suspect a false positive, check the file or the website using Kaspersky VirusDesk. If necessary, send the file to the Antivirus Lab for further analysis.

Probably a false positive. I reinstalled this morning (KIS virus data files being updated) and no problem.

My initial post was not to discredite URBackup but just to let know that it has happened.
