Is it possible to upgrade existing backup storage to the new 1.4 way? (Improved symlinking scheme)
I have a large number of backups with lots of files which don’t change often.
This is on windows.

Yes it works seamlessly. You can also disable/enable it afterwards (don’t downgrade to 1.3, though!).
So when upgrading, I can have the storage be optimized, so that it starts using the new symlinking scheme?
Yes. Does it per default.
