Ubuntu Packages Offer to build

Hi,

Do you still need someone to take over the packages ?

Cheers,

Pieter

Server:

Here is how to get a package into Ubuntu: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Upstream

The best way is to have a Debian package. A debian dev has already grabbed it ( https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=905234 ) but I don’t know if there is any progress. Maybe you can mail him and offer help.

The main problem is that debian wants all the dependencies in separate packages. I already did some work on low hanging fruit (sqlite) and will continue (lua next). Most of the libraries are listed here: https://github.com/uroni/urbackup_backend/blob/dev/urbackupserver/www/templates/about_urbackup.htm
Many of them don’t have Debian packages themselves, so they need to be packaged, too (in theory).

Client:

No work on a debian package for the client yet. You’ll have to start from zero there.

Awesome - I will do that - do you want to put 18.04 on the repo for the time ?

As in, I can build it for 18.04 if you want ?

Hi dewitpj,
thanks in advance for your packaging effort!
Perhaps it may help somehow. In Manjaro and ARCH Linux there are the server as well as the client with GUI and the client without GUI packaged in the AUR repos, where also the maintainers are mentioned.

The package for 18.04 is already available on the download page: UrBackup - Download UrBackup for Windows, GNU/Linux or FreeBSD
