I can

Hi Gert,
I have these problems too.
My Server runs at Debian9, and my clients are running at Ubuntu 16.04 LTS amd64 with Dattobd.
I didn’t have a client were this construct runs without problems, and I have no Idea why.
Sorry that I can’t help you, but I think it is good, that other people have this problem too.

Can anyone help?

Is there a directory named /home/* ? What is the output of ls -l /home ?

Yes there is a home directory. It contains all the users’ home directories on the server.

akc@FileServer:~$ ls -l /home

I have checked and it acutally should contain additional helpful warnings  I think you are using a old version on top.
