Ubuntu 22.04 image backup with Dattobd -- does it work?

Do image backups with Dattobd work?

From what I have learned dattobd will only compile with a 5.x kernel. It is not available for the 6.x kernel. I read that here: Feat : add support for Linux kernels 6.x · Issue #381 · datto/dattobd · GitHub
I did have it running with the 5.x kernel but when I upgraded to new hardware that required the 6.x kernel I had to switch to “linux device mapper snapshots” when installing on the client.

There has been an update to the dattobd driver. I am hoping it will fix these issues, but I haven’t been able to test it yet. I do know that I can manually initiate a snapshot, take a dd copy of it and remove the snapshot without it crashing the machine.
