Needing to update some images to more secure (policy driven) and more updated image. I know this software is for backups. For restoring failed HW or OS, deleted files, etc. But I was curious and plan to test tomorrow. If I have the UrBackup client running on an (old image). And using the file backup. Can I use this to restore to the (new image). And all the apps work as intended from the (old image).
When my team was showcasing the solution to us they happened to use a software uninstall as the scenario. And when restoring, noticed the app was no longer coming up in start menu, and was not showing in control panel or Windows settings. Is this because the backup/ restore is not meant for applications unless your doing a image restore?
