UrBackup Version: 1.4.7 running on Synology NAS with DSM 5.1-5004
All clients are running version 1.4.7
All clients are on the same network/subnet as the server/NAS
Clients are all running either Windows Server 2008 R2 or Windows Server 2012 R2
I installed UrBackup two days ago, so I am fairly new to this software. Your help is appreciated.
When I first set up the clients, I did full file backups with no problems. They were all successful. However, the incremental file backups are failing.
The following messages appear in the Report:
Error opening temporary file. Retrying . . .
Error creating temporary file in BackupServerGet::getClientSettings
Getting client settings failed -2
Towards the end of the report:
Error creating temporary file in ::doIncrBackup
I have 8 clients, and all 8 are having the same issue.
I checked the settings on the server and the option “Temporary files as file backup buffer” is not checked, however the problem exists when is option is checked.
I verified on all clients that Windows Firewall is not running, and all clients are listening on UDP/35622.
The clients all say that they are connected to the server, and the server reports that the clients are online.
The clients all have read/write access to the Backup storage path and all subdirectories.
Manually attempting to do an incremental backup fails as well, with the same error messages.
What temporary file is it trying to open? Why is the server having trouble getting the client settings?
