Hello, I had the problem that we had to start the “MSSQL Database Service” with local system rights. As a result, Urbackup, which was also started with local system rights, could not find any databases and silently stopped a backup.
Solution:
Don’t start the “SQL Server VSS Writer” service with local system rights, but with an account that has correspondingly high rights in MSSQL (f.e. SMSS). After that, all databases were available in “Urbackup > Windows components”.
I am reporting on this solution because this will be a common scenario and therefore many users will not see a database backup selection.
