When attempting to download a client installer for Windows, the web interface is reporting “ERROR: Signature verification failed”. Downloading a Linux or OSX installer functions properly.
- I have re-downloaded the contents of the latest/update folder into the appropriate urbackup folder (/mnt/urbackup/urbackup in my case), and also tried the folder empty.
- I have tried it with “Download client from update server” both enabled and disabled.
- I have restarted the server repeatedly during these tests.
- I was unable to manually verify the signature for either .sig or .sig2. I understand now that openssl is not used, but CryptoPP, and that the public key file is not in the PEM format. If it is possible to manually verify the signature, I don’t know how to do it.
I am running the urbackup server on a BSD-based server (FreeNAS specifically). It is running server version 2.1.19, and the client version is 2.1.16.
