Server service crashed

Hi all!

I had a problem tonight: the server service crashed during backup and nothing is stored in logs. If I have a look in the urbackup.log in c:\program files\urbackupserver I can see this

> 2014-08-21 02:29:37: ERROR: Fatal exception (APPLICATION CRASHED). Crash dump written to "C:\Users\SVC_BA~1\AppData\Local\Temp\UrBackup\v0.25.1-20140821-022932-3028-3672.dmp"

I’m using server and client v1.3.2. The server runs on a Windows Server 2008 VM and files are saved on a NAS. I can provide dmp file if needed.
The strange thing is that nothing is visible in application logs, neither from server or client. I had set now to automatically restart the service in case of crash, but I suppose that in-progress backup won’t be resumed anyway…could you help me analize what happened so to prevent it to crash again?

At this point you should switch to server 1.4. If it crashes there send the dump files to martin@urbackup.org please.

Thanks Martin, from where can I dowload it? May I consider it stable?

The weird think is that is my NAS which have problems now: when there are 2 or 3 backups running together it crash and reboot O_o … stopping backups it works fine … I’m trying now using server’s local cache to see if limiting disk operations on NAS could solve the probem…

I upgraded both client and server to 1.4 and is going a way better now! no more crashes for the moment, hope it’ll last :slight_smile: thanks for the support
