Server configuration

Hello All,
I have installed first time new Urbackup server on Debian 7.6 x64 the server is based on following hardware config
Intel SR2500 chassis
16GB mem
6 x 2TB seagate disks on lsi 8308elp
2x 1G Intel PT server adapter

system settings
OS installed on USB 32GB disk on key Sandisk Cruzer to save space for backups
ZFS for Linux where installed created RaidZ2 from 6 drives with compressions on and also dedupe on
My question regarding following system before it will go into production , is it good choice to install the OS on disk on key?
I got the impression that system works slow sometimes, is that due to the fact that UrBackup keeps its installation and i assume its DB’s on the disk on key , if yes is there way to move and point it to the ZFS volume i created?
Please advice
Thanks
