I am currently in the middle of restoring a very large drive over LAN. Question: If I suddenly unplug the current switch (which does not have GIGABIT) and plug a new one in, will the bootable CD just RESUME or will I have to START OVER AGAIN? I’m hoping I can just resume. Any thoughts or experience with this particular situation?
No resume as far as I know.
Thankfully, this did not happen, but I think I want to now certify what would happen just to see. Thank you for your reply!
We are testing restores now (first time) and had noticed that it started real fast, then stopped, however it does re-connect to the server, so unsure whats going on. A nightly clean up is happening, however other backups are working ok, so not sure why the restore is now taking many hours and only seems to connect for 30 seconds thne give up for abit then re-connect again.
