Problems backing up non-system volumes

First off, GREAT PROGRAM! I love UrBackup a lot but I am having a problem getting it to backup any volumes other than C. I have UrBackup Server version 0.26 and UrBackup Client version 0.40. I know this functionality is supposed to be supported in these latest versions. The server service is running on a 2008 R2 VM (firewall off) and the clients are physical 2003 server. My server settings are:

When I install the client on the 2003 servers and it finds the UrBackup server, it immediately creates an image backup of C ONLY. If I then right-click the system tray icon on the 2003 server and tell the UrBackup client to do a full image backup, it STILL only ever does the C volume. Am I missing something?

Sorry to hear that.

Can you please go to the client specific settings page on the server web interface. Those are the settings that actually are used even if they are greyed out. If “Volumes to backup” is only “C” there then it’s a settings error. Otherwise I’ll have a look what else could be wrong.

Both client and server settings are set to C;D;E and all machines being imaged do indeed had a C:, D: and E: drive.

I just tested it with my Windows 2003 VM instance and unfortunately it works for me.

Are those volumes not formated with NTFS or not basic volumes (dynamic volumes, GPT instead of MBR)?

They are dynamic volumes… I guess that’s not supported? Don’t see anything in the documentation about dynamic volumes.

I’ve tested it with mirrored dynamic volumes. Other types of volumes would be very difficult to support. Are there any log messages in C:\Program files\UrBackup\debug.log with regard to imaging? I’ll fix the documentation.
