Problems after upgrading client from version 1.4.8 to 2.0.32

Hello all,

I just upgraded my Urbackup sever from version 1.4.8 to 2.0.33. At the same time, I am trying to upgrade my clients, on my workstations, from version 1.4.8 to 2.0.32. However on some workstations, not all, the client installation hangs and I am forced to use the Task Manager to terminate the install. At that point, I will reboot the workstation and attempt to install the new client. It does install without any error messages. It will appear in the tray momentarily then disappear. If I try to manually start the client I get the following error message:

All of the systems are either Windows 7 Pro 64bit, or Windows 10 Pro 64bit.

Any suggestions??

Something is wrong with Windows Update on those Computers. See http://blog.urbackup.org/245/visual-studio-2015-runtime-and-msi-installer for details. You could try manually installing the KB and/or look at the system/windows update logs to figure out why it cannot install Windows updates.

Our updates are handled by our domain controller. I will add this to our update list to make sure all of our workstations are updated.
