I have a laptop provided by my office and it would be great if can use this software to backup this computer. Unfortunately, I cannot install anything.
Most of the time they do that with good intentions, and will backup specific folders anyways; UrBackup requires a server/client setup, and without the client it cannot interact between your backup server and the client you want to backup.
The only thing that you can do without installation is put it under an “additional client,” but all that can do is tell you if the device is online or not.
The main thing about it is the service. Even if you installed in on a USB and used it as a mount point, without the service it will not work. So, as far as I know… No, you cannot install UrBackup without a client.
