Pipe to client unexpectedly closed has_error=false

keep getting this on one of my clients
(Pipe to client unexpectedly closed has_error=false)
server 2008 r2
client windows xp machine
total 15 clients all backup fine

i am also having this issue
server 2012 r2 v.1.4.10
client XP v.1.4.9
also the one client that has a backup on the server windows 7 v.1.4.9
under image back it’s red and reads “No recent backup” even though it does have a current backup

I know this was posted end of last year, but I am having this symptom on one server out of 7 that I recently deployed. What is the general cause of this issue? I have tried a few manual runs but cannot get a complete backup due to this problem.
