Hello,
thank you for this software, but I am having an issue I have backed up several computers in a production environment and once restoration has finished I’m not able to get a computer to boot into Windows. I have a test computer that I am using, and I’m able to get that computer to boot into Windows using the backup image of that computer. However, when I try a different image it won’t boot into Windows. I have made sure Secure Boot is turned off, Bitlocker is turned off, and I have selected to use MBR & GPT during the restoration process. Not sure what I am missing.
I think Windows install includes only the drivers needed for hardware present during the installation. The resultant disk image will only boot on hardware that is sufficiently similar to the original system.
So my guess is that the HAL or disk drivers do not match the hardware.
I would investigate if you could perform system recovery on the result using windows installation media and extra third party drivers if needed.
It would be easiest to test the restore using identical hardware to the original system if you have it available.
