I’m about to get urbackup up and running for the first time.
I’m planning to have one server ‘@home’ and a second one ‘@internet’.
As much as I read, I have to setup two urbackup-servers with the client using both of them…
As I do have different lans created, I’m thinking about the clients to backup to the first server (@home) and the first server syncing it’s content to the second server(@internet) - just as if the first server is a client for the second server. This would minimize the load at my used home-/lab-lan.
As I’m just setting it up for the first time can it be done this way? Best practice? Hints?
In case the two servers are on the same LAN, you can connect clients to both of them.
here is the guide LINK
In case you want only to clone the server and all backup files, agent and configurations, you could copy the database and the backup folder to the 2nd server, one method could be to use the first server as agent on the second one.
I don’t want one client to backup to two servers as there would be too much traffic. As much as I get your answer there is no such option with the server to tell him to have a copy at another location/server.
I will try installing a client at server 1 to backup to server 2.
Right now I will have to get the client up and running at an unraid-server.
