Moving Backup Server from Windows to Ubuntu 14.04.1

As mentioned in the other current “move” thread Moving UrBackup to new server?

  1. Move all files excluding the www dir from C:\Program Files\UrBackupServer\urbackup to /var/urbackup
  2. Somehow copy the storage preserving hard links. E.g. via rsync -H.
  3. Setup the new storage directory in the settings
  4. Run start_urbackup_server --remove_unknown to fix the symlinks
