I changed my Backup Storage Path from “/media/BACKUP/” to “/media/BACKUP/SRV-HYPERV-01”.
I already deleted every backup, remove-unknown, multiple restarts of server, created new full backup. Still same error:
2025-10-30 11:29:22: ERROR: Image mounting failed: Error creating mountpoint at “/media/BACKUP//SRV-DB-01/251030-0923_Image_D/contents0”. Err: 2
2025-10-30 11:31:10: ERROR: Image mounting failed: Error creating mountpoint at “/media/BACKUP//SRV-DB-01/251030-0923_Image_D/contents0”. Err: 2
I am aware that the “/SRV-HYPVER-01” is missing, somehow the database still thinks it has to look in the old path. But how can I change that?
EDIT: I also tried to remove the client completly and add it again, new full backup, still same error - still wrong path when trying to mount.
When I try on the server direct:
——–@UrBackup:/var/log$ urbackup_mount_helper test
MOUNT TEST OK
Solved it via complete reinstall of the server, don´t forget to install “apt-get install libguestfs-tools”.
On the WEB GUI I changed the path to media/BACKUP/SRV-HYPERV-01, made a full image backup try to mount image in WEB Gui - still same Error:
2025-11-08 16:46:14: ERROR: Image mounting failed: Error creating mountpoint at “/media/BACKUP//SRV-DB-01/251108-1531_Image_D/contents0”. Err: 2
Path missing.
Soloution: via CLI on the Server:
sudo systemctl stop urbackupsrv
sudo nano /etc/urbackup/urbackupfolder
correct file to new path, in my case “media/BACKUP/SRV-HYPERV.01”
sudo systemctl start urbackupsrv

Info for me: when you are stressed out because of a disaster try mounting via the CLI first and copy the files to the nas what you need:
sudo urbackupsrv mount-vhd -f /media/BACKUP/SRV-HYPERV-01/SRV-DB-01/251108-1531_Image_D/Image_D_251108-1531.vhdz -m /mnt/restore/
