Mail not working. SSL connect error(ec=35)

I’m not sure if bryan is using Windows or Linux, however, if you find a fix please let me know. I posted this same issue back in September of last year, but haven’t heard anything. Other than that the software is solid.

Ec=35 -- Unknown SSL protocol error in connection to mail01.company.biz:25

I’m getting this error when testing the email settings. The smtp server does not require authentication or ssl. So, username/password is blank and the 2 ssl settings are unchecked. We do not sure SSL, however, I’ve tested every combination for the fun of it. No luck. Thanks for any help.
