What does this entry in the client’s debut.log file mean?

What are “slots” in this context?
That line is harmless. It’s a debug message from the client’s own listener, which takes connections from the server and from the tray icon. Each connection is handed to a worker thread, and when all existing workers are busy, it starts another one. A “slot” is just room for one connection in a worker thread. It shows up at every startup and doesn’t point to a problem.
