Hi there, pretty familiar with UrBackup and have been running it for several months now. I’ve got numerous Windows clients that have been working great while backing up to my Linux (Debian) server. At some point, I think from the latest upgrade, I noticed a significant spike in the amount of backup data being used on the statistics page.
After doing a handful of checks and trying to eliminate any obvious issues, I noticed that certain servers are running all day and never completing. Upon checking the live log for the active jobs I noticed the following: DEBUG Loading “.symlink_Microsoft Exchange Writer_{76FE1AC4-15F7-4BCD-987E-8E1ACB462FB7}_53cb6925a8b1026387bc08305fe565d8_File_files00000000/Mailbox Database.edb”. 0% finished 149.051 MB/67.2584 GB at 259.832 KBit/s
It appears that these servers(UrBackup clients) are trying to backup Exchange via VSS or similar. To be clear, the backup selections on the client do not include anything dealing with Exchange etc. I’ve tried creating server side exclusions using the follow entries but they aren’t having any effect: .ost;.edb;/.symlink_Microsoft/;*.symlink_Microsoft*;windows_components_config;windows_components;
So, can someone guide me to the proper exclusions and/or explain why this is being included in the backup?
Thanks in advance,
