Linux image backups

I was wondering if there are any plans or an ETA for linux image backups.

Urbackup beta, it will use dattodb to backup files, backup the partition scheme and boot partition, and allow to restore that.
So it’s not 100% an image backup. The reasoning for dattodb, is that else each fs and volume manager combination would need to be supported. Not impossible, but a lot of work.

For this part, i would have prefered to allow peoples to write bash plugins for urbackup that can interact with the gui.
