Large Hyper-V VM

Hi,

I install Ubuntu Server 18.04 LTS as urbackup server with btrfs storage.
My task is backup vhdx on hyper-v server 2012r2 and 2016. I bought license for cbt client.
How can I setup forever incremental backup of vhdx with large size: one = 600 GB, other = 1850 GB.
Backup was made to offsite server with 50 mbit internet link.

I want make file backup with only incremental mode, because internet link very slow.

Make sure btrfs is configured correctly (" 11.7.2 Btrfs" in https://www.urbackup.org/administration_manual.html ) and it all should work automatically.

I also recently added a Hyper-V backup method description: https://www.urbackup.org/backup_hyperv.html

If I make a full file backup, can I always just be incremental later? Are incremental backups related to full backups?

Full file backup is kinda i standpoint for incrementals, just takes backups of the things changed. :slightly_smiling_face:

I create full backup of vhdx and make incremental 2-3 times.
And then delete all full and incremental backups exclude last incremental from web interface.
But backup integrity is fine. Why when full backup deleted, last incremental backup is enough??

I think the incremental refers only to the process of making the backup not the resulting backup.
