both the server and client can not install . all shows the that “service failed to start.”
Have you tried a reboot?
Have you tried to uninstall and reinstall the program (Backup your database and idents before you do this)?
Was this an upgrade or a first time installation?
Do you have the appropriate rights?
Does the service account that you are using have the appropriate rights?
Is your time set right?
