Hyper-V commercial client

I had an issue with the hyper-v client on a server 2022 host. The issue was related to the guest vm configuration being corrupted. I ended up having to delete the VM host from the urbackup server. I setup a new client within the urbackup server, the hyper v host appears however no VM’s enumerate within the urbackup console. Everything is running server 2022. Urbackup server is version 2.5.33. The paid hyper-v client is version 2.5.23. I’m not sure if this is a bug, but what steps can i take to get the VM’s to appear back within the urbackup server console?

Sry you are having problems.

The client gets the list of VMS via running powershell.exe "Get-VM | Select VMName | ConvertTo-Json". Maybe running that as well exposes the problem? (Maybe as the use UrBackupClientBackend.exe runs as?).

To further analyse the problem a client debug log would be useful. The client log file is per default located at C:\Program Files\UrBackup\debug.log on Windows. Run C:\Program Files\UrBackup\enable_debug_logging.bat as admin to enable debug logging. Once debug logging is enabled reproduce the problem.

Attach the log files to your new post or send them to bugreports@urbackup.org because they may contain data which should not be public.
