How to achieve сopy-on-write raw image backups with ZFS using UrBackup-server within FreeNas Jail? I can not create a sub-dataset within the jail. The command “zfs list” within the jail shows “pool” and “pool/images” as available datasets. But the command “zfs create pool/images/test” will result in “permission denied”.
Someone here in the forums managed to give the jail permssions to create/destroy ZFS snapshots.
I just put the urbackup server in the normal FreeBSD in which FreeNAS also runs (without jail). This has the advantage that the image mounting also works.
Both options require a bit of FreeBSD command line knowledge.
