I’m a newbie : I want to install URBackup on a Debian VM. In this VM I mount a NFS to a Synology NAS to store the backup.
I want to segregate the URBackup server into a network separated from the LAN.
I’ve agent installed into the Windows server that I want to backup. Can I open ports only from URBackup to lan and have a PULL backup via agent or I’ve to open ports from LAN to URBackup server ?

My advice is to install urbackup server on Synology NAS as the network overhead from running storage over a NFS share will kill your performance.
From there attach the lan/vlan the windows server uses to the urbackup server.
The windows server must be on the same lan as the urbackup sever for the urbackup server to find the clients automatically.

Polo, from my understanding synology uses Docker Container to run applications like urbackup.
