Fedora 40 packaging

Hi! I’m currently still using the Fedora 38 packaging from OBS. Is there anything I can help to get a repo running for Fedora 40?

Thanks!

Best would be to fork Show home:uroni / urbackup-server - openSUSE Build Service , get it to work, then make a PR for the spec file

I triggered builds for the four architectures on F39 and F40, and it seems that the build succeeds on aarch64 and x86_64. armv7hl failed on F38 too, but now also ppc64le fails because of a broken repository setup. I’m not sure whether there’s something special to your own repository setup for ppc64le that I overlook? I just took the upstream ones available on OBS.

I think the check boxes for those were just unchecked? I checked them now…

Looks fine indeed, and upgraded successfully on my machine! Thanks

I want to install UrBackup on a Fedora 40 server via Install package home:uroni / urbackup-server but noticed the following:

  • I wasn’t asked for the backup directory (have seen this on other installs)
  • sudo systemctl enable urbackupsrv.service can’t find the service file > Failed to enable unit: Unit file urbackupsrv.service does not exist

I did the install via root. Am I missing something?

I don’t think RPM is really supposed to be interactive like that. /etc/urbackup/backupfolder contains the directory, it seems.

The correct unit name is urbackup-server.service
