would be fine, if one could see at client side and in server interface, how long the estimated remaining time of current running backup is. Maybe more users would wait before shutdown if they knew it will finish in a few minutes or seconds.
You could estimate it by a simple calculation of how much MB is to backup, how much already was transferred and how long it is already running. I know this is a raw guess and not always hitting (for example because of different file sizes) but it is a simple calculation and better than not knowing anything about the remaining progress on first look…
