Feature request: Have an option to disallow clients from restoring files

How can I put this gently… most of my clients are not at all computer literate. I just had another one restore the entire C: drive. I would love (read pay) to have a permission option to disabled clients from restoring any backup files. I would rather they call the IT department to sort out their restores than have to repair half over-written users folders…

Maybe have an optional password to allow restoring files? Anything that keeps them from overwriting their files…

In permissions tab, have you tried to uncheck the “Allow clients to start file restore” :

Thanks guys. I’m not currently using 2.1.x. as I have quite a few clients and am using urbackup in production. I was waiting until the 2.1.x branch stabilizes a bit.

If you think it’s safe, I may upgrade after the holidays. As always, I’ll pick up a few CBT licenses.
