I have bought CBT licences and would like to use them with a select few clients.
If I change the client update URL in the server to install the CBT client automatically it will likely install it on all 130+ clients. I have, so far, only bought 10 licences.
If the server had a second update URL field, to be filled in after buying licences, and each client had a CBT option it would mean I could install on the clients as needed and not a blanket install…
For now you could just install it on all the clients then disable it in the advanced settings by setting “List of volumes for which change block tracking should be used” to “-” – see also the CBT user manual.
That should do the trick nicely.
