For the most part everything seems to be working fine except for two of my Windows Server 2003 boxes. They are using a Windows software RAID 1 and the backup does backup the drive, but fails to backup the MBR. I don’t know if this is an issue with Windows or the backup program but it does it on both boxes which means I can’t do an image restore. Is there a way I can make a manual MBR backup or do you have any idea how to fix this? Thanks!
It does not work for striped or extended dynamic volumes but I fixed it for mirrored volumes:

Supporting the whole range of dynamic disk types would need an overhaul of the restore cd.

Normally I would opt for hardware raid but a couple of my 1U servers don’t have RAID controllers so software raid 1 was the best option.
