Errorcode: BASE_DIR_LOST (7)

On one Windows 7 x64 client I’m getting this error: Errorcode: BASE_DIR_LOST (7)

13.08.15 12:20 ERROR Backup failed

I have re-installed the UrBackup client on the machine after waiting for 30 mins. between uninstall and install. I removed the client from the web interface table. then reinstalled the client, still I get the same error only on this machine.

I have looked in event viewer and no VSS errors. there are 2 partitions (C: and D:) and both have large free space available. the system protection was OFF for all drives except a Volume{string} and that had a folder icon next to it and was probably created by the OEM pre-installed junk that came with the PC. I turned the System Protection ON for the C: drive, but the full or incremental backup fails for folders both from C: and D: on this machine.
I’m not sure what goes wrong, but image backups seem to work. Only the full/incremental ones report this error over and over again.

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Sorry you’re having problems! Could you enable backup logging on the client (Run c:\program files\UrBackup\enable_debug_logging.bat or see http://www.urbackup.org/administration_manual.html#x1-710009.2 ) and send the debug log (at c:\program files\UrBackup\debug.log) to martin@urbackup.org ?

debug.log (1.7 MB)

Hi, thank you for your response. In the meantime I managed to get it working by using the VSSADMIN utility and manually deleting some shadow copies from all logical drives available. Could not identify the exact one which caused the problem and i also reinstalled UrBackup using the generated install kit from within the UrBackup web interface from a client PC which worked OK.

Best regards,
Alex
