Hi,
Error doing a bakup image.
In debug.log:
WARNING: Parent directory not found in MFT. Was probably deleted
The partitions:
Any help please?
That warning isn’t what made the image backup fail. “Parent directory not found in MFT. Was probably deleted” comes from the client’s change tracking for file backups: it’s logged when a file changed inside a folder that has since been deleted, and it’s harmless. It appears regularly on normal clients too.
Your partition layout (EFI, C:, recovery) is the standard Windows one, so that’s fine as well.
To find the real error, please post:
The log of the failed image backup from the server’s web interface (Logs, or the backup in Activities), especially the lines marked as errors near the end.
The client and server versions.
Whether it fails right at the start or partway through, and whether it’s a full or incremental image backup.
Errors around the snapshot (VSS) or about reading the volume are the usual suspects, and the server log will show which one it is.
