Encryption of the copy destination in UrBackup on the Btrfs file system

Hello everyone,

Do any of you have experience with encrypting the destination for UrBackup backups? As you know, UrBackup itself does not support encryption, but I want the data to be protected at the partition level.

I’m currently using the Btrfs file system on the partition where the copies are stored. Do you have any proven methods on how to effectively encrypt this partition while maintaining full UrBackup functionality?

Any suggestion or experience will be very helpful!

Sorry can’t help much, There’s dmcrypt & LUKS for Linux, I’ve used Bitlocker with a Windows server…

Which encrypts the data at rest, however, that’s little use for security with a server that’s active & has the volume decrypted, & is on 24/7 if someone gains access to the network… it’d be totally secure with UrBackup offline though…
