Looking for some insight on something I am trying to do.
My goal is to only have one backup of each clients drive and a incremental each night. However do to space when some clients have two or three backups i am running out of space.
My question: If i have the Max and Minimal incremental backups set to 1 and I set the Global soft cap to 1MB for example, Will I always have a full 1 folder backup?
How much data are you backing up and what is the size of the backup volume on the server? Wouldn’t it be easier to add space to the server?
I have a 500G drive and backing up 400~G Nightly. Currently I have the 500G only to work with.
If Minimal/Maximum backup is set to 1 and the disk soft quota is set to 1MB. What takes priority
You need more drive space. What you have currently is not really “backups” as it were. Drive space is cheap, why not add more drives? You need a minimum of 2TB to work with.
Are these backups image backups? Or file backups? 2TB hard drives are under the $50/per mark. Why not pick up a couple (or 4) of those and be done with it instead of trying to trick the software in to doing something that is not even really a backup?
