Deleting vhdz.bitmap Vs vhdz.cbitmap During Cleanup

In one of my Urbackup server logs, I am finding a WARNING that it can’t delete a Client_Image.vhdz.bitmap file. When I look in a newer image directory for this client, I only find Client_Image.vhdz.cbitmap

On a different Urbackup server which is a similar setup, it does not have any warnings in it’s log file. Those clients also only have the cbitmap files in current image directories.

Is there anything I can do to “fix” this? Thanks!

Try running remove_unknown see if it fixes it.

Thanks for the reply. I just ran it again, but it returned a “Deleted 0 file entries” message.

Question is, did it update the database to reflect the file it can’t delete not being there? Which would also be a cure.

If you’re running a Windows server, I’d also suggest

CHKDSK /scan /perf

on the storage drive.

Also, manually deleting the file then running remove-unknown again to alert UrBackup to the fact it’s no longer there.

If it’s not there & you’re still getting the error, copy any random file to the directory it’s missing from & give it the appropriate name, so there is something to be deleted.

After that, it’s database tools & working with the database directly (YUK!).
