Date format in WebGUI

On Linux Mint 19.2 I have the date format MM/DD/YYYY on Firefox and Chromium. If I change language form English to German the date format does not change.

is there a way to change it to DD-MM-YYYY or at least DD/MM/YYYY?

Opera is showing DD/MM/YYYY.

I set my date format for Firefox on windows by setting a better display language. See the Firefox help on language setting.

This post by uroni Aug 8 has similar information for Chrome.

“Problem” is, I would like to have an English GUI but still an ISO 8601 date format.
However, using [en] instead of [en-us] seems to be an improvement.
