Daily / Weekly / Monthly / Yearly image backup retention

Hi,

It would be nice to be able to setup this type of image backup retention policy :

5 days / 5 weeks / 13 months / 3 years

For the moment it seems that we cannot achieve this type of retention policy, or maybe i missed something.

Maybe in some future versions ?

Will you add the ability to archive image backups like file backups ? In order to have those types of retention …
Or maybe with another feature …

Yes this is planned at some point. It needs to show the image backups on the “backups” page as well for that to be user friendly.

We plan to deploy UrBackup for our production environnement but before investing massively in some cbt licences (about 50 licences), i have to ensure two things :

  • the “snapshotting together volumes” works fine (in progress with beta 2.1)
  • the ability to retain backups for 5 days / 5 weeks / 13 months / 3 years

Do you have any dealine for this ?

I’ll increase the priority of the second one. Target should be 2.2.
